" Eleven" short story response
The short story “Eleven” by Sandra Cisneros has many reasons why people can still act the way they did at a younger age. For example when I am playing catch with the baseball and brother with my dad and I make a bad throw and he goes up the street chasing it, I feel like I am 10 when I was playing little league. Also I feel like I am five when I am sitting on the couch with my four-year-old sister watching an original Disney movie like Toy Story. When I listen to a country song by Garth Brooks I feel like I am eight singing in the car to the radio with my mom. Even when I watch a scary movie in the dark and get scared I feel like I was six or seven when I would go to bed scared to death and stay awake all night long. Even when I go to a ball game I feel the same way I was when I was going to my first game ever whether it’s a Nuggets game or even a Rockies or Broncos game. Or even when I am watching the Super Bowl very year I feel like I am five when I was watching the Broncos win their first Super Bowl in 1998. At work if I don’t know how to do something and I know I should have learned it by now I feel like I am 16 when first started working. Or when I walk into s store and telling my parents that I want everything that I see I feel like I am six years old again wanting everything. These are some of the things that make me feel like I am younger than my usual age.
